    Péristyle

Since the end of the 16th century, the outskirts of the castle were redesigned for embellishment. In the 18th century, the castle opens onto its park. The old fence and the columns gallery disappear in aid of this 6- column peristyle, recalling the Trianon or the Médicis Villa. The initial project was including a 80-step staircase with 5 floors of rest, leading to the gardens. The staircase was never built because of the fragility of the ramparts.
